What you need to know...
Avoid queues at the gates: tickets can be purchased online and printed at home or downloaded directly to your smartphone, right up until the festival starts.
ENTRY TO THE FESTIVAL
For this event, Public entry is via Gate 3 located on the corner of Latham and Morris Streets. Should you wish to buy more tickets on the day, the box office will be located next to Gate 3.
CHILDREN U14
Children accompanied by a paying adult and under the age of 14 will gain free entry to the event and do not require a ticket. Please remember to keep an eye on your kids during the event, this is a licensed premise and children must be supervised.
COVID-19
If you are attending the event as part of a group, as the primary ticket purchaser, you are responsible for knowing the contact details of all attendees in your group (including their full name, contact email and contact phone number). In the event you are contacted directly by the Ministry of Health for the purposes of contact tracing, you must make these details available to the Ministry of Health for that purpose.

We recommend you download the NZ COVID Tracer app and scan into the event on arrival. The QR code will be located at the points of entry to the venue.

Urban BBQ Festival is committed to stopping the spread of COVID-19. If you or any members of your group are currently subject to a 14 day isolation period or are feeling unwell, we ask you don't attend the festival to help us in stopping the spread of COVID-19.
IMPORTANT VENUE INFORMATION
The area of McLean Park being utilised for the event is under the Harris Stand and in the food court area. No access will be permitted to the main field or grandstands.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
Disability parking, with valid mobility pass, is available in the Gate 1 carpark located on Latham Street. Wheelchair access is available via Gate 3, and there are accessible toilets located within the event.
PARKING AND PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Street parking is available on the streets surrounding McLean Park. Free parking is also available in the Gate 1 Latham Street Carpark. For those who wish to use public bus transport please click here.
FOOD AND DRINKS
You can purchase BBQ food and a range of beverages including low and non-alcoholic drinks from our food vendors and bars, and there is plenty of free water.
We want to support our vendors as best we can so please do not bring any food or drink with you. Empty water bottles are permitted for refilling onsite.
UBF TOKENS
The Urban BBQ Festival uses UBF tokens for the purchase of food and drink, but not for any BBQ supplies bought from the supplier stands.
Festival Dollars are purchased at the Festival Dollars hut on the way into the main festival area. Cash is faster than eftpos, so we advise bringing some with you to ensure a speedy purchase.
Unused festival dollars can be refunded on the day only, at the festival dollars hut, up until 6:30pm.
But to avoid having to wait for a refund we advise purchasing what you need, especially towards the end of the day.
DECK CHAIRS & UMBRELLAS
We will be supplying spaces to park up at the event, but these are limited, first in first served so head on down early. You are of course welcome to bring along your own chair, but we do ask you to consider others around you when using these chairs. We can’t allow umbrellas into the festival as they create a sight issue for patrons sitting behind. Free sunscreen will be available; however we encourage you to bring some extra sunscreen along to get you through the afternoon.
SMOKING
This is a non-smoking venue. Patrons are asked to exit the ground when wishing to smoke, including the use of vaping devices and E-cigarettes.
PASS-OUTS
You can leave the ground and re-enter by being scanned out, but you will be subject to the same security checks on the way back in.

Event Close: 6:00pm
Refunds: 6:30pm
